1st version of Android (1.0) - The First version of android launched on September 23, 2008, This version of android does not have any code name. 

Android Cupcake(1.5) - Android 1.5 is the First android comes with code name "Cupcake" on 27 April, 2009.   

Android Donut (1.6) - Android 1.6 is released on September 15,2009 with the codename Donut.

Android Eclair (2.0) - Android 2.0 is released on October 26, 2009 with the codename Eclair.

Android Froyo (2.2) - Android 2.2 is released on may 20, 2010 with the codename Froyo.

Android Gingerbread (2.3) - Android 2.3 is released on December 6, 2010 with the codename Gingerbread.
